What was your 60 foot time? Looks like your car and mine are close to the same. I just had mine dynoed and I have 392 rwhp. I took it to route 66 dragstrip last night and ran a 1244 at 109mph. My 60 foot time was 1.83. I think if I can bring my 60 ft time down to 1.6 to 1.7 the car will run 1220's. about your trap speed my car is running the same mph. I'm not sure there is a problem. If there is a problem I hope someone has the answer. I would like to get into the 11's before the track closes for the winter.

FEF84, your 60 ft was the same as mine. Our cars are running almost the same times. I see you have a bigger gear ( 3.42 ) I have a 3.23. So whats your next step to get your car into the 11's? I'm going to work on getting my car to leave off the line better. Once I get a 1.6 60 ft time I figure i'll be close to diping into the 11's. What are your thoughts on this?

Yea im thinking the same thing. Next im going for a 12 bolt or 9 inch can't decide which one maybe you guys can chime in, but im going to put in a 3.73 instead and that should help move me out a bit. But i really plan on stroking it out to a 402 and that should definetely do it.

Your car is tuned since the cam right? That trap speed seems low for having a cam. I have bolt-ons, 3600 stall, 3.42 gears and trap between 107-109 with a 1.9x 60' time right now,but I need to work on my launch more. I would think with a cam you would be running faster, but you should be happy with your et. Maybe its your elevation or DA or just the hot weather?

fef84 check out the sticky under gears and axles. There saying going from a 342gear to a 373 is a waist of time. You have to read it to understand it. What is written does make sense. Like I said before, if we get our 60 ft times down to 1.6 our cars will be low 12's high 11's. I'm going to the track next tuesday and really get my nitto street radials hot and try for that 1.6 60 ft time. Do you think your car is leaving the line the best it can?

I was not giving them a very long burn out at all. So i could probably get a tenth there i shall go back and try soon. But on the gear swap change, does it seem possible that the 3.42 to 3.73 change would net me a tenth or should i go to something like 3.90 to get more. What should i do?

Probably the DA for that day was hurting the power up top.

I'd be upset, that is really low for cam/heads. I'm running 12.30 @ 113 with just some gears and headers.

The gear swap form the 342 to 373 will give you a tenth, but is it worth the cost. It all depends on what you want the car to be. How fast do you want the car to go? You can spend the money on a good nitrous system and gain a second without changing your gears. The cost would be less then the gear swap and you would gain more than a tenth and stlll have a highway car.

i need to change the ten bolt out just because of the fact it might break so i figured might as well bump up the gears. What do you guys think i should run in the 9inch 3.73, 3.90 or 4.10?

If your planning to stroke it out to a 402 go with the 410.

I drive it on the weekends around town. It sees a short bit of highway. I just want it to have as much pickup as possible but not run out of gear by going too high.
