Gto rims on an fbody?
Will they fit? I have a chance at getting some 17s off a GTO for cheap but dont know if they will fit. I dont think GM would put a differnt bolt pattern. Please let me know asap! Thanks!

I'd be interested to see that. I might have to find a good image and do some PShopping, since I'm bored as hell.
But I agree, save for the backspacing, I wouldn't imagine them having any bolt up issues.

I have both cars i can try and see. I have the stock 18's that came on the GTO. And they are puny 235's. The 17's had the "massive" 245's. LOL. Thats the only thing i dont like about the car is in stock form they came with hardly any meat.

Both have the same bolt pattern and use the same angle on the lugnut (old school muscle cars use a different angle). I have a set of salad shooters with MT ET Streets that I can use on either car. The only limitation is that the GTO wheels are narrow compared to what you can get

They will work, but I think the angle on the nuts may be the biggest issue - I don't know if they are the same, but having said that, "Nova Todd" says in a previous post that the angles are the same, so - problem solved!

I use the ones I noted above on both the GTO and the Camaro with no issues what so ever. If the wheels are balanced correctly the should not be any issue. I have used the salad shooters on the GTO w/ 104+ mph trap speed and no vibrations- just lots of the GTO "sway" (from the IRS and the ET Streets).

There's a guy I know that used to be around Z28.com who had those on a red LS1 T/A. I'll see if I can't dig up a pic for you.
EDIT: Here we go. He's changed them out for some black ZR1s now, but I found a pic with the GTO rims.
