Opinions on tsp 228r cam?
Have been cam searching for a while and i am considering the tsp 228r. My car is a daily driver and i want something that is comfortable and easy to drive on the street! If i get this cam it will be on a 114 lsa for tunability. Just wondering for those of you who have this cam on a similiar setup what kind of dyno and track numbers you have and how is the driveability? Car is a 2001 z28 a4, built 4l60e with 3000 stall, full exhaust and 3.73 gears. Will be putting on an ud pulley when i do the cam as well! Give me some feedback guys!

My buddies running the 228R on a 112 in his m6 car. He's also still running stock 3.42 gears. His car drives very nicely I must say.

I have the 228R 114 currently in my set up.
I had the TR224 114 and loved it.
Both easy to tune if your tuner knows what to do. Just beause he has tuning software doesnt mean he knows what he's doing.
My car with all the bolt ons and the TR224 114 put down 370 RWHP and the car ran great.
I changed set ups and added 228R 114 and AFR heads, and the car seemed slow off the line so I added 3.90s. 425 RWHP. It was slow off the line because of the tune not the cam.
I have the TV2 and a FAST 90/90 set up waiting to be installed now. Im looking to be at 450-460 RWHP and then im done making the car go fast. The next mods will be to slow the car down quicker.

I know that the 112 will give me more power, however i don't wan't it to be surging or have to turn the idle way up just to get it to idle steady! However, i would love to have the lope that the 112 should give. You guys are giving me a lot of great info and soo far it seems like a really good choice. I will be doing heads later on just don't have the money for them at same time as cam. From what i hear it should put me right in the power range i want to be in and with a little suspension work i should be able to dip into the 11's. Keep it coming!
