Never seen a stroker pass smog, since most have aggressive cams....you might want to ask Rick from synergy he builds alot of smog legal set ups.

My 383 just passed CA smog but I'm running a small cam (Comp 224 on a 114 LSA).

as long as you keep the cam relatively mild 224-226 for a stroker, on a 114+ lsa, it will pass with a good tune. you also want to keep the compression no higher then 11.1 because it will produce high Nox levels, and may fall on that portion of the test.

There is a what is known as the Greenbelt in some of the desert areas of Southern California which require no smog if you live there. My dad has a vacation house on the Parker Strip in Earp, CA. There is no smog station for hundreds of miles so they can't require it there.

My dad is an Illinois resident and has his vehicles registered in Illionois but they always refer him to get the car smogged by California because they are parked here. California will not smog his cars because his house is in the green belt. It gives him a headache.

Now if I could only register my cars there...
