2002 SS Camaro for $10,900?
I just saw this car at a dealership...it is a 2002 SS Camaro for $10,900...I've only seen pictures of the car and it's fully loaded(power locks, windows, ASR, t-top, 6 speed, leather etc)...it also has the "35th anniversary" plaque next to the ASR...car looks clean(from the 9 pictures I've seen)..I called the dealership and they said it has a clean title and ONLY 45K miles...
I'm going to definitely check it out tomorrow, and hopefully everything checks out. Seems almost too good to be true
They had a 2002 V6 Mustang selling for 11,500..so they obviously know what's going on?

Carfax can be WAY off. They fixed a mustang out at my dads shop not 2 weeks ago that hit a deer and when they went to fix it the rear had been clipped and an entire new rear was put it and the front had been done they same way...when he carfax it the car came back CLEAN!!! it all depends what was reported I would have somebody check it out.

One owner.. just sounds like a daily driver. Wouldnt worry about the miles on it as long as it was taken car of. Maintance is more important than mileage, I have seen SS and TA with 45 -60 thousand on them and they had been beat to death. I looked at over 20 Z28 and TA's and the one I bought had more miles on it but was totally stock, and very very well taken care of. The LS1 motor will hold up past 200,000 thousand if taken care of. And, hell if not they are a dime a dozen just put another one in. Test drive it and look at it, the price is a good price, good luck!

for 10g you cant beat it even with the mileage... 1 owner prob alot of highway miles as well. As long as its not a 00 mustang gt with 40k miles on it that blows the hell up in 3 damn days your fine lol (it happens)
Always take it to a local shop to have it checked out and get a warrenty with it.

The whole deal seems shady to me. I don't like it. If something feels bad in my gut, I usually avoid it. Get the car checked out by a local shop. If everything looks good, you could buy it. Maybe the dealership misquoted or misprinted the price. If not, you could buy the car and then go after them for false advertising which is a big no-no in the business world.

Theres a chop shop, I mean car dealership not far from me in port st lucie that has a 2002 SS for $9995.00.
Heres the catch, I went there one night and seen the car in pieces in back of the place and thought the guy was parting it out so the next morning I went in there and he said some kid took it apart and gave up on it, sold it on ebay and it's not going on the lot, it's going to be his personal car.
At the same time the junkyard in the next town had a 28,xxx M6 01 Z28 that slid sideways into a pole. This guy said the person who had the Z28 bought it for cash and put it in his garage, never got it insured, went for a drive one day and wrecked it. Thats how he got a totalled car with a clean title, the wreck was never reported. I begged the guy to sell it to me, as they say it can be 'lot driven'. He said he had to wait for the title to clear but wasn't sure he was going to sell it anyway. He didn't see me type the VIN into my phone.
A few weeks go by, he sold the car to a buddy of his.
Guess who his buddy is, yep I see that car behind the car lot with the SS. Long story short the SS is now for sale with 28,xxx miles and has the same vin# as the wrecked Z28. He says it's a '01 SS yet it has the 35th emblem on the dash and the Z28 vin plate and drivers door.
I later seen the gutted Z28 body back at the junkyard.
Just about every other car on the lot has a rebuilt title, I looked under one camaro and seen frame machine marks all over the place but it looked good from up top.
I asked about that one and also asked if he knew the guy at that junkyard, he talked to me for a good while, he said does know the guy, he also said regularly sends his son to Georgia to get wrecked cars titled.
He pointed at this brand new looking mustang on the lot and said see that there, thats got a certificate of destruction (meaning it was once beyond totalled) said his son was running that one to georgia next.
Shady operation IMO, yet I don't really have a problem with it as long as he tells the buyer what they're getting. But their prices are up there with legitimate cars.
