Default Can i put a ls6 in my 2001 trans am?

I was wondering if it would bolt up and if i would have to change the computer or any sensors?

Default can i put a 98 ls1 in a 2001 ls1

I know this would bolt up but is there anything i would have to change since the car has a different cam and stuff?

Just a slight tune of the computer would do you, thats if the cam specs are different form the ls1's.

Yeah the cam is different. You'll need to do some tuning.

Cam is so small, tunnig would not even be an issue. But a tune would help get the most out of the H/C.

Your factory harness will hook right up. Like everyone said a tune will help also

May I ask why are you putting a ls6 into the car? I just had that option of doing that when my motor blew because of water locking. But everyone told me I should just get a regular ls1 and mod it. So look at my sig and look what all I got for pretty much the same price

LS6 was quite easy and doesnt have the oil consumption problem alot of the ls1s had eary on.
