AC Delco PF 454 here. Have also used the taller version PF 1218 before on an unlowered car but it hangs too low for comfort on this car.

I have an oil cooler on my car with the PF 1218 and it hangs low but other things will hit that before the filter does. Also one benefit is that it makes it much easier to get the oil filter wrench on...

Yay for being a nerd.

He added an S on the end of the link.

EDIT: Interesting read, but gave no incite as to why you run the K&N filter Unless it makes your oil turn into Royal Purple

Was this someone who just decided to compare oil filter for the fun of it? Interesting read. However I will still be sticking with a plain old ACDelco filter...

i am currently running the pf 454 but when the new motor drops I am going to run the taller 1218. Like tony said, longer the filter the more filtration.

I met a k&N rep and was told that their filters were the same filter a Mobile One filter with the exception of the nut on the end for safty wire and a thicker can material. The 454 crosses over to a 602 Mobil one one filter but double check. You will notice that your oil stays clear a lot longer with this filter.

By the site name, I'd say it's a personal user doing that.

10 more minutes longer? lol Dirty oil means it's doing it's job. (And yes, I know you can go a couple hundred miles and still have fairly clean/clear oil.)
