Default SOM SS...New motor parts/cleanup/whoreing time! (new pics & a video)

i've been under the hood for 2 weeks now and i just got finished up. it's hard to work on a car when you're on 2nd shift...anywho, my motor went from stock-looking except for a lid to what you see below...i'm ashamed to say i cut a couple corners, but nothing major, if even noticeable. i've been in a major pinch as far as time goes due to UPS not shipping stuff like they should...i'll be at the Street Machine Nationals this weekend in Springfield, MO, hence the reason for the chaos in my garage...

here's what i did:

*ported and painted F.A.S.T. 90mm intake
*Nick Williams 90mm TB
*chrome ceramic coated the valve covers (until i can get aftermarkets)
*wire mod
*EVAP mod
*painted ASR 'lid' & polished bracket
*polished up A/C unit
*ported/polished/descreened MAF
*made and installed coil relocation brackets
*custom cut-to-length MSD 8.5mm SuperConductors
*cleaned & oiled my K&N filter
*polished my Nasty fuel rails

UPDATE:
http://ozarksfirst.com/media_player.php?media_id=17354

that's my SS on the dyno, i'm the skinny loser in the orange hoodie you see for about 2 seconds

haha, yeah that g-force manifold stand is a custom one-off kind of deal. i threw it together with parts i had laying around. i painted that intake...in my garage...where the dryer vents out....full of bugs and dust....with a RATTLE CAN

I would like to know the same thing. Did you actually mean that you made them yourself? You got some specifics on how you did that?

Looks great by the way. I really like the painted ASR cover. I think you need to paint your air lid and it would look incredible.

wow, thanks a lot guys. i'm glad you all like it. i was worried about it coming off tacky or hacked up or something....

as for the coil brackets, yes i did make them myself. PM/email me for the specifics...

i took some awsome pictures of the car outside tonight, but i left the camera at my buddies house....it'll be monday before i can get them on here due to being at the Street Machine Nationals all weekend....so, 'til monday!!!

Looks good. If you take the AN fitting and hit them with some over cleaner it will strip off the red/blue. Then hit them with some sand paper and metal polish. Then they will math the rest of the fitting and everything else in the engine bay.

Default New Pics

ok, here are some outside pics from last thursday/friday...i never got a chance to take some "good" ones, but you get the idea. as you'll see, my car is on the dyno in one shot....it made 417 rwhp and 383 rwtq....not bad untuned through a 9" ....i was at the street machine nationals in springfield, MO all weekend. i'm home now, but should still be there. my old lady got real sick so i brought her home. for all i know, i've got a trophy waiting on me

i got to meet a lot of guys from here and mofbody.com and z28.com. i'll definately be back next year, hope to see more of ya'll...here are a few pics. i'll post more up when i take some good ones, my camera died so i don't have as many as i'd like.
