58mm throttle body questions
Well I take it they all do the job? Any brand I should stay away from, or one you guys would recommend?
Whats the best method for porting the intake? It will be off the engine. Just wondering what I would need and advice on doing it.
Anyone got a 58mm laying around they want to sell let me know. -Corey

I'll be using my old TPI 58mm when I get around to boring out my intake, which will also use that older TPS. I already have one with a plug and about 7" of wire all ready to go for when I change over.
People say the BBKs have problems, but I see many many more people complain about the Holleys. Mines BBK, and I like it more because it retains the stock look, where as the Holley stands out that it's aftermarket. Which, some may like.
Texas Speed and Marine, or Arizona, someone, makes a monoblade version.

We had one of the first Holleys that came out. There were a few probelms all t=related to the linkage cam they were useing and bushings. We actually tried several and the LPE/Accell was the only one with out issues then the newer AS&M.
I believe the newer verions of the Holley may be fixed but I have not checked in a few years.
The New LPE and AS&M have the newer TPS mount BTW but it is not adjustable An adjustable TPS is a must IMHO. It is easy to slot a Stock TPS so no Problems.

Yeah they probably have been, its just been a while since I looked.
I'm delayed now anyway, I have to buy 6 ton of rock, what do you know thats going to cost me $335 delivered. Now I'm setback on getting the throttle body. All cause some old guy that doesn't even live on my street called code enforcement. Some of the elderly folk in FL have nothing better to do than to harass people I guess.

I've got a 92 RS and a 91 Firebird in my front yard. My neighbors all around me don't care, I hear this guy lives around the corner and down the street a bit. That is what pisses me off, who is this guy to say my yard looks trashy if he doesn't have to look at it every day?
So I'm creating a second driveway down the side of my Moms house, and will throw car covers over them.

Mine is TPIS's 58mm throttle body.
I actually got it off of TPIS's ebay auction section for $400.
It is a very nice piece with a machined-in airfoil.
But as KingLt-1 said you'll have to drill the IAC hole.
