I got a Vig 2800 installed with 30,000 miles on my car in Jan '05. As of Sept '07 I got 59,000 miles on it and it's still shifting fine. I have a transcooler and I get the fluid flushed every year!

2800-3500, If you have a decent cooler and the fluid doesn't get too hot, it will have hardly no effect on how long it will last. Of course any trans is not going to last as long if you run it hard.
My 3rd gen with a 700R and Art Carr 10" 3500 non lockup has over 700 passes down the strip on it and 10,000+ street miles and has only had the fluid changed twice in the last 8 years. Fluid still smells new and trans still works fine and this car has the dog **** ran out of it every time it leaves the garage.
Changing the fluid and having the trans flushed once a year is freaking nuts IMO.

i have a 3200 converter with a tranny cooler to go with it. and a tq converter is the best mod by far that ive bought. but trans life really depends on you.. if you dog the **** out of your 4l60e then it wont get you that far if you have higher miles or do lots of track passes. i DD mine and occasionally dog the hell out it. fluid is still red and does not smell burnt.

Glad to see people post that there 60e is doing good, They get a bad name because most people who post only post when theres and issue with them and when you just look at a forum it leads people to think they are always going out when thats really not true.
