Any one use stock spark plugs wires on modded car?
Im sick of the taylors and msd only being able to be taken off a few times before the break. I know that are some guys that have had good luck with them. But im at the point with my car where i need to pull plugs every so often to check on how shes running. Ive developed a slight mis fire and when to pull my msds off. They the connectors to the actual plugs keep ripping off.
Can i go back to the stock wire? Will it hurt performance at all. This is about a 600hp turbo forged ls1.
Thanks
Alex

Instead you should consider a wire removal tool that is commonly sold by parts supply houses. ...this prevents tugging the wire from above the boot which causes premature wire failure.
there is nothing special about stock wires which will also fail if abused from puling above the boot.

the wire gets hot and tries to seize to the plug, put some grease on the wire boot where it connects to the plug, will fix the problem. as far as stock wires go, I dont think unless your using msd coils that you will see a gain from higher performance wires on a LS1 because the distance the spark has to travel is so short. Id use msd wires with msd coils only because the thicker wire could take the bigger spark and probably more heat.
