Default What to expect after a gear swap?

I'm getting my 2.73 swaped for 3.73's tomorrow, I know that I will have to get a tuner to correct the speedo but will my car still be drivable untill I get the tuner?

yes sir If I'm right you'll just be moving slower than your speedo says, guessing approximately 4-5mph diff.

If you have an automatic your shift points will need adjustment also, but the car should still be drivable.

Going from 2.73 to a 3.73 will be a pretty big performance jump, should feel like a whole new car =)

Yes your speedometer will be reading fast, but on my Mustang I went from 2.73s to 3.55s and it was 20ish mph off.

I just went from 2.73 to 3.42 with a custom tune and i love it. This was a big performance jump for the car now i need frame connectors. The rpms have not changed that much at 40 and 50 mph driving. Not sure about the mpg but there is more to life than gas mileage

its not off xx mph, its off xx%. so you are talking about a ~36.6 % increase in gear, which means if your speedo indicated 50mph you will be going 36.6% slower than that, or ~32mph I believe. So keep that in mind.
