Default What tranny cooler for YankSS4000?

So I just ordered my Yank ss4000 and am in need of a new tranny cooler. Its going in my 02 ss. What brand/size(dimensions) of transmission cooler works best with this setup? Any advice is appreciated. Can't wait to get this baby installed...

This is what I run. Do it right and be done with it. Also bypass the radiator tranny cooler. Below is a Perma Cool unit.

The cost was less than $220.00 and I got it from one of the big racing catalogs. The one that ryhmes with vomit.

The largest cooler you can fit is the best choice and a fan is even better

I was told even with a fan the tube and fin style coolers suck......I have the stacked plate style...mine is made by Long...B&M is the same thing.
FWIW i have a vig3600 and my trans doesn't get over 180 in 90 degree weather with the A/C on...

I run the B&M 70266, stays cool all the time. The ones with the fan are supposed to be better, but also cost 4-5 times as much. Plus, not being a passive part, they can fail (the fan).
And bypass the funky radiator-based cooler, it is superfluous and could actually add heat versus the external cooler alone.

I'm gonna buy a tranny cooler some time this spring. I have a stock transmission and a stock converter, but I figure it can't hurt. I plan on buying this one from Thunder Racing:

http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...vid=3&pcid=175

They sell a B&M 28000 GVW cooler for $69.99. Bigger than the 24k, so it can only be better.

Put in in front of the a/c condenser (right side as you drive).
