Post My First Dyno Session...

I made 385 rwhp in my 1999 Camaro Z28 with the following mods: Patriot Stage III LS6 style heads, MS4 cam, Precision Race Component Springs (rated to .660 lift), TSP chrome moly pushrods (7.400), Pacesetter LT's, cat-less 3" y-pipe, Mac catback, LS6 intake, ported stock tb, Granatelli 85mm mass air, lid, K&N, ported LS6 oil pump, double roller chain, Vigilante 3200 tc (locked in 3rd gear), Transgo shift kit and tuned by Alvin of PCM for Less in Charlotte, NC. Is this about right for the mods that I have?

I thought it would have been more. I don't have heads yet and a bigger stall and made 387rwhp on a hot humid day. Solid numbers but I would have though more.

Nothing wrong with thoses #s. A4/Vigilante 3200 are notorious for eating up dyno #s. I know look at my Sig. What kinda #s are you putting down at the dragstrip thats the ones that matter. Especially your top end MPH. Then you can use the drag racing calulators like on the www.golenengineservice.com and punch in the dragstrip results and you can calulate all kinda #s.

Post Dynojet Dyno...

I was told that I ran out of fuel (it had the stock injectors and fuel pump) when it was on the dyno by the tuner and it was going lean. The temperature was somewhere in the 80's. I have since had the Racetronix fuel pump kit installed with 30 lbs SVO injectors and a TNT nitrous kit. I was pretty disappointed to say the least. What size nitrous shot would you suggest with my fuel system? What are the limits of the LS1? Thank you,

ls1's properly tuned are maxing out the stock shortblock at around 500-550rwhp, and if the kit is wet your injectors are fine, dry i'd want some 42's..

you would see probably 20-30rwhp from a 90/90 setup btw, especially since you have some badass heads. the ls6 intake is the weak link in your setup.

if you're still running lean after the fuel pump and injectors, i'd ditch the maf and go S/D tune. i havent heard alot of good things about those granatelli maf's.

I forgot one thing, I am ditching that laim *** MAF. I got a 85mm ZO6 MAF new in the box. I heard the Granatelli makes tuning these cars hell.

Update this thread, when you go back to the dyno at least with a link to another thread so those of us who would like to know the performance increase will see it.

Thanks.

spray depends on what enternals you have.. my buddy sprays his 99 ta with a 150 shot all day with the stock enternals but than again he has just headers and intake with the nitrous kit so

Pretty sure they're called internals not enternals
