What's a 8.5 cage? cage to pass tech to 8.50's in the 1/4 mile?

For a full cage, it's about $350-600$ for either mild steel or c-moly.

Install will cost you more than the cage, especially if you go with c-moly.

Cage was free. I did pay 1500.00 for a hat and another 1000.00 for a pen. This was a full custome CM cage.

You guys need to make sure you are comparing apple to apple. An 8 pt is a 10.00 roll bar. A 10 pt is a 8.50 legal "cage"

I paid 1200 for a 6 pt rollbar.. a 10 pt that's good to 8.5 is probably double that.

Around here you can expect $175 per point. It all depends on who does it and how busy the shop is at the time. I am glad I have the equipment to do my own cages and suspension components.

Welcome to connecticut man. I was quoted 1700 from another shop, so when the guy that did mine quoted me 1200 I was happy.

Exactly, that is why they aren't $2 and $3000 for the 8 pt "bars"

There is a diff between a CAGE and nice bar system...

technically, an 8-pt can be considered a cage too, most cages only intersect the floor at 8 points (since the door bars and a-pillar bars intersect above the plate)

Our 8.50 cages start at $1750 for chromemoly.
