I can see you're a newb so I'll expand upon it. The y pipe hooks up the exhuast manifolds to the rear exhaust, when installing headers the y pipe has to be replaced and people tend to go with an off road, without cats because it's considerably cheaper.

Is there a option if I have to keep the cats?

Yes you will get improved power the cats are somewhat restrictive, but if you live in a city or state that does smog testing you will get a hefty fine. I love Oklahoma we don't even have vehicle inspections anymore! and after going catless you can get a tuner to delete the rear O2's from the program and then you will have no check engine light. good to go!

Get high flow aftermarket cats. Many run them including myself and they don't hurt you as much as people think. I think 5 hp max.

you dont gain anything worthwhile for just buying a y pipe without headers. just save up and go all the way with longtubes and either a new ORY setup or duals

to quote JRP from the exhasut sticky:
DO NOT invest in a new y-pipe unless you plan to stick with shorties/stock manifolds, and even at that it's barely worth it since you'll gain practically nothing by a new y on stock manifolds. If you buy a new y for stock manifolds/shorties you'll need to replace the one you just bought if you add lt's or mids in hte future
