Default True Dual Mufflers

I going to put true duals under my car (with an X), no cats, and will turn down just before the axle. I dont want it so loud that I get stopped, but when I get on it I want it to crank hard. Can anyone recomend a muffler that will do that?

The car has a TR230 in it.

I have thought about those. The others on my list are Moroso spiraflows, Borla XR1's, and Edelbrock RPM's

I had bullets, and they were like 80% of open headers.

I had Borla XR1s and they were good, my friend has Edelbrock rpm's and they sound very similar.

The Borla's are 209.99 each at Jegs, and the Edelbrocks are 89.99. The Borla's look like premium construcion mufflers, very nice. The Edelbrocks Look bigger, but that price is tempting. Has anybody on here ever tried the Moroso Spiral Flows before (46.99)?

I've got the twister mufflers that Lane sells with his system. They are moderately loud, deffinately quieter then the bullets.

I've seen a setup with headers, off road pipes, (2) Spintech single 3" in/single 3" out mufflers, and turn downs before the axle. Looked clean, but I can't vouch for ground clearance issues.

Thanks everyone for your input. My car rides a little higher than a Z or a vette, but weighs about 1000 lbs less. The drive shaft is about 18" long so you can imagine the limited space I have for exhaust. A bunch of measureing has led me to conclude that I cannot fit an X pipe easily. I will have to take it to a shop to do that for me. I have decided on the Borla's and will exit out the back instead of in front of the axle to avoid the drone. As a temp exhaust I have ordered a set of bullets and turn downs to get me on the street for a while. Once again, thanks for all the input.

I know a guy with the Moroso's. They are a little quieter than the bullets with a little different tone. I really like the bullets, and onlyt get a little drone with the windows up. I did have a LM, LM with ORY, and LM with headers, so my ability to hear drone may be diminished.

I am still a little intrested in the spintechs. I think the low profile oval pipe is a great idea. Have not ordered the Borla's yet because of this.

Are spintechs more quiet than moroso spiral flow's??? I heard the moroso spiral flows sound pretty good. Never heard them in person though.

I don't know if the Spintechs are quieter than the Moroso's, and I don't know how the low profile series sound. The other day I compared the Spintech I have (Sportsman Splitcase) to a Loudmouth during an impromptu revving match at a local gathering. The Loudmouth has a louder idle. The Spintech was definately louder at revs (than anyone else out there), and has a deeper idle, but is raspy at revs due to empty cats. I have a sound clip for anyone interested. I love the muffler.
