Default T/A REAR bumper on Formula - Pics?

Lately I can't get the idea of installing a T/A rear bumper on my 02 NBM Formula out of my head. My only complaint about the looks of my car is that the rear bumper just doesn't look "right," but the T/A bumper does. Obviously the T/A has side skirts... will the bumper look odd on a Formula without them?

Who's done this and has pics? I did a search but only found one 2-year-old thread without a really good pic.

Are you planning on keeping the low rise spoiler? The low rise spoiler looks like crap when matched up with the TA bumper

I hadn't really decided about the spoiler yet. I kinda like it with the low-rise spoiler, though, after seeing that pic. Got any more with a side view?

Yeah, i shouldve re-worded my statment. It doesnt look bad, but it doesnt look as good as it would if it was mated to a TA spoiler is what im saying.

I like mine and I have it done this way. Remember back in 95 the trans am non gt had the ta bumper and low rise spoiler and so did the ta verts through the years. Its just different. I really did it so I could do the full ceta treatment and put on some nice tips.

Default Looks fine to me...

I'm not a big spoiler fan, so the smaller the better to me, even with the TA bumper.

OT - Regarding the ugly Magnaflow "truck cannon" tips, that's why I just went with a Magnaflow muffler and round double tips instead of the catback.

I actually think magnaflow offers a full catback now with dual round tips and it looks a hell of a lot better. I have corsa clones on now and I could never go back.

Yeah, it does look good, I had a 1994 trans am with the low rise hatch, it looked good. There's a guy that drives around town in a 98-up firebird, 3.8 engine that has converted his car almost to a nice looking trans am! He's just missing the high rise spoiler.

Here's all sorts of shots before I did the bulk of my transformation. TMCK2k1 thanks for posting that picture! Brings back memories...ahh memories!

Thanks for all the pics - that's exactly what I needed!! Your car is absolutely sick, too. Except for the CETA mod and high-rise spoiler, it's exactly what I want my car to look like when she's done.

One question: did you add T/A side skirts?

I know I'm in the minority by far, but I really like the look of the small spoiler better. I guess that's why I'm a Camaro guy.

Lightbulb What do you think of this...

Wow, such a great idea! The T/A bumpers look SO much better than the Formula/V6 bumper. I have a W68 kit on my Firebird, so do you think a T/A rear bumper would still look good with the kit? I don't want to loose the kit unless I'm doing a COMPLETE switch to T/A Front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper. What do you think?

Phantomzer0, I think the W68 front pieces would match your front bumper to the sides a little better. You ever try em on and see how it looks? Photoshop maybe.. I just can't visualize the side skirt-to-rear bumper. Anyone help? Swat

definately get the high rise spoiler if you go with the TA rear bumper. My first TA was a forest green with the hurricane rims and had the low rear spoiler. I always felt like it was missing something (it was one of the first demo models, cloth interior and crap sound system). I was always searching for wrecked TA to swap hatches with (I was only 16 at the time so buying new was not an option). Phantomzero your car looks great, I like the the formula front with TA sides and rear.
