The FTRA system is very restrictive where it goes into the airlid on top. If you look at one on a car, it is open on the bottom and then chokes down real tight at the top. I would go with a custom ram air system that is bigger, but based off the same design.

I doubt it will make much more power than any other lid, it's all about how much air you can cram into there, personally I ditched my lid and am running 2 air filters that draft air from the 2 openings in the front.

I noticed a gain by swiching from the FTRA to a custom ram air made by another member on here. It was a solid 1.5mph, on corrected DA passes.

How about SLP or FTRA vs. none on a modded car? I have one sitting here for the Camaro.

i got a ftra and i dont realy know if it helped. it seems to pull harder on the free way but at the track i dont think it did much.i can see how it works so maybe im wrong. my car did pick up a few tenth's when the weather got cooler but at the same time i had a full tune done and the ftra so i dont know if it was just better air or more power.
