Usually it's the shock sensor going bad...try disconnecting it and see if it stops.

after about 6 months of chasing down the problem, i concluded that it is water getting in the shock sensor. i replaced my shock sensor and it fixed it, but the other day we got a hard rain and i opened my hatch to get something out. some water went down into the hatch channel and i guess it got on the shock sensor and just pissed it off again. but it dried out and hasen't done it since. im going to seal it up better and go from there.

mine did that too, untill i changed my shock sensor. then it was fine. i took my old one apart and it was coroded. water had been getting down in there.

well, my new shock sensor is perfect. cept it did it again one night but it was raining and i had just opened my hatch to get something out and all the water ran down the channel the hatch seals in. so i decided that all it is is water getting into the shock sensor,. im going to extend my wires and run it over to the other side and put it over there under the carpeting.
