ls1 vs ls2 who would win 01 to 02 ls1 or ls2 gto stock to stock, bolt on to bolt on both cars have the same trans m6 or a4 just a general qeustion not sure which one would be the better buy

ok well few days ago i raced a 06 ls2 GTO he had intake and exhaust but he had an a4 and i was an M6, i had a passenger in my car and full tank of gas the gto was by himself with a empty tank of gas, first we went at 30 mph role and we were dead even until 110mph then we slowed down, then we went off launch, both of us had a crappy launch with alot of wheel spin but he got me by about half a car. well the gto was actually alot better then i thought, i thought the ls2's sucked at high end but it was better then i thought. but it was a good race

I think the LS1 will pull without a problem, assuming it's running good.
I beat a stock LS2 Corvette A4 at the track in my stock SLP M6 SS by 3 tenths. And while most of my edge was through the 60' mark, I still was pulling away ever so slightly, and had him by a few MPH at the 1320 mark as well. But I have a factory freak LS1 with pretty low miles, so I'm sure that didn't hurt any.
