Help Need pics of stock 3 channel and 4 channel rear
okay my problem is i think i have a 4 channel rear with 3 channel axles,
let me explain, i got this 10 bolt with 4.10's and a struss kit for free and i have put it into my 99 a few times with no problems because my 99 has no asr.
now the time has come to swap this into my 02 that has asr,
now i have looked and looked and found no pics of a stock 3 channel brake bracket where the abs sensors mount on a 4 channel. looking at my rear end it looks like it could be used without having to grind on it but im not sure,
can anyone here post some pics of each type when they were in their stock form please thanks.

probably nobody replied because your post makes no sense but I'll just explain the differences.
3 channel rearend will have the hole in the top for the sensor.
3 channel will have a reluctor ring on the diff (it looks like a straight cut gear with square teeth on it)
3 channel axles are just plain ol axles.. no reluctor rings on them
4 channel housing will have NO sensor or hole on the top for a sensor.
4 channel will have a roundish cutout on the flanges were the backing plates mount to clear the reluctor ring sensor
4 channel axles will have reluctor rings on them.
in order to use a 3 channel rear on a 4 channel car you will have to first get 4 channel axles. then cut or grind the flange where the backing plate bolts to on the housing to make space for the reluctor wheel sensor. then plug the hole at the top of the housing or just leave the 3 channel sensor in place. then bolt it all up.
If you are doing a 4 channel in the 3 channel car you will have to drill a hole in the housing for the sensor and be sure you have the correct reluctor ring.

Heres some good pics of a 3 channel.

I'll try to find you some 4 channel pics.
I sounds like you have a 3/4 channel mutation.

This isn't exactly a 4 channel, it was just converted to a four channel.
