Banning is the city. You pass it on the 10 fwy going to Palm Springs, that's really all there is to Banning.

Well, I don't like to think that way, you may be right. But right now we are down to one 1/4 mile track in Socal which is pathetic. So if there is even a slight chance I am willing to try and support it.
I have 2 tickets in the last 2 weeks! I need track events to keep me out of trouble.
Sounds like these guys made a good effort but did not have solid financial backing.

I also gave up on Drag City quite some time ago. I was involved very early on when it was to be in Rialto. If they can convince the city council, great otherwise, it might as well be like Irwindale for me....Irwindale is a nice track, but I can't go on Thursday nights due to work constraints. If more Sundays were available, I would go there much more.
There are actualy 2 1/4 mile tracks in So Cal. California Speedway - which might as well not even operate as they aren't open or available nearly enough and Famoso Raceway - which with last year's schedule as was not open nearly enough (and closed in August/September ??? just when it started to cool down). Please note this is from someone who remebers Famoso being open EVERY single Friday night and most weekends - not just for some nostalgia race...
