Default Still problems with the Mcleod SFI Bellhousing?

YES! I searched already! Most of the threads I found were pretty old and didn't specify LS1 or LT1.

Basically I'm just wondering if the Mcleod SFI bellhousing still has to be heavily modified to fit properly on an LS1 car? If so I'll probably just stay away from it. $400+ for a bellhousing that doesn't fit ... no thanks

I had to grind the stiffening ribs on the back of my oil pan, grind a little on the nose cone of my starter and I think thats about it. Here are some pics. One is before grinding, one after grinding and then one with the block plate, and clutch package installed. I wouldn't let the grinding stop me from installing the bell. My feet are very important to me.

I didn't really consider what I had to do as "heavily modifying". Here's a couple threads if it helps. Yeah there a couple years old but should still apply.

It's pretty easy to fit if you know what to look for. Grind the oil pan, gring inside of starter hole in block plate, get alen head screws to hold bell to motor.

Ok, I guess it doesn't seem that bad then.

Thanks SSmokin, I saw those threads when searching but wasn't sure how much they still applied.
