That's closer to what I was figuring it would cost. I understand it's billet and all, but I didn't expect it to be almost $60. I might be interested depending on which wideband I go with.

No problem guys .... the largest difference is if we make a handful or hundreds at a time. If we get the interest to pull off the GP we'll just pull the trigger on making a large batch.

The more people that call the better. Before we began I talk to the machine shop and gave them a "what if" and gave them a pretty high number. Perhaps that number was not realistic. I was only looking for 20-25% of the production to be pre-orders. I think we'll have to scale it back and break the numbers down to still come out favorable. If I can do half the batch size for the same price I'll push the GP thru with only a few more orders.

We only have 11 units pre-ordered. There has been more interest shown than just 11 units worth. Every time a few people post we wait it out and hope they call in - usually we'll only have one call from the interest. So we kept trying to play catchup. We were shooting for at least 25 units to make a GP work out. My only option at this time is to work out a compromise with the machine shop and run a smaller batch than we expected. The end result would be a higher cost - but still lower than the initial retail.

Would we be contacted about the "new" price should that route be taken? I signed on for 2 since they were 25 bucks. I would not want my card charged if it was not that price.

well smart guy, or e-thug, both apply in this case. i actually have read this thread from the begining and have watched it for some time now. but i have a camaro i havent had a need for thes bushings. i just finished swaping my dash to a transam/firebird dash just for these vent bushings. they were closed when i posted in here and i posted to let them know i would be calling in. then you wanted to chime in and be the homo you have proven yourself to be. do everyone a favor and shut your pie-hole if you dont have anything constructive to add to the thread. and then take that slow ass 380hp peice of shit you dont even need gauge bushings for and drive it off a cliff.

I never got a phone call back so I stopped over there during my lunch break. Machining should be finished next week, the powdercoater is 2 doors down and that only should take a day or two. We will process and charge the orders when we have the units in hand to ship. Everything should be completed with tracking numbers available by the end of next week.

Picked the up from powder coating.... processing orders right now and we'll do our best to get them all on the UPS truck by the end of the day!

BTW - the AEM gauge here we tested was snug, to install it you'd most likely have to dremel out the coating on the inside of the ring. The autometer gauges here I tested fit perfectly.

I got mine as well and installed it. One point of interest that others might find helpful or useful is that the center vents are slightly smaller in diameter than the door vents. The door vents are roughly 2.5mm larger than the center.

I had originally setup to have my AFR wideband gauge in the door vent, but now I'll just move it to the center vents. It's okay, because since I have the shiftlight in the defroster vent, I need that side vent on the rare occasion that I get condensation inside the car.

Just to clarify, these rings will fit the center vents and not the door vents.

I still haven't even recieved a tracking number let alone the holders :(

Well, I got mine installed on the left pod of the center vents and it fits perfectly and looks factory. How cool would it be to have a factory option like an AFR gauge. I think the best gauges are the ones in the viper.
