Due to recent health issues with my mom, I am thinking about selling my camaro. I really have no idea what to ask for it at the moment.

I bought the car 3.5 years ago with the paint job, ,motor and Currie 9"rear end already together. Since then I have added a TKO-600 5-speed, MSD ignition, ported and polished heads, Autometer Cobalt guages, all new wiring, Kicker KS speakers with a nice pioneer cd player, some new interior components, custom built ladder bars, Flowmaster 40 series exhaust, new weatherstripping, a 750 demon carburetor, K&N airlid filter, 2 months ago I bought brand new kumhos for the front and Nitto drag radials for the back, mounted on 17" Torq thrust 2's. I replaced the fronts 2 years ago and the backs came with the car. I have won a few car shows with this car. It is almost perfect. I have spared no expense at all with this car. I had it dynoed last summer where it made 353 hp and 406 ft. lbs. torque. Since then i have had the heads ported and polished, and the MSD ignition. The car has never been raced only taken to shows and cruised around town. I am sure I am forgetting a whole bunch of things and if u have any questions feel free to give me a call at 806-681-2010 anytime. I will be glad to show the car or meet someone with it. This car turns every head when you are driving down the road. This was an original ss350 hugger orange car. The car is located in Canyon, TX. I know the rule about posting an asking price, but I would really like some help on what to ask. Any help would be appreciated. Obviously I need to get quite a bit but I dont want to be the idiot that throws out an unbelievable asking price and turns people away.

Hey there,
I just opened this post to see your car, I am just browsing. It looks like a nice car. Just wanted to give you a free bump. If I were to price it (although I am not a pro when it comes to pricing antique well sought after cars), I would probably price it in the mid 20's. I also just had a thought in mind, why not throw this thing up on ebay if you have the patience to do so. My friend's father had a low mileage, full resto 1968 RS/Z28 with the 302 4 Speed in it, and it fetched over 60 grand if I am not mistaken. I know that was for a numbers matching car, but you might be lucky to find somebody who is looking for a first gen with the paint scheme and mods that you have, while willing to spend the big bucks. That paint job will hurt the sales potential, unfortunately. If it were simply hugger orange as it should be, it would be much easier to sell.

Moving this to the Camaro forum until you post more pics and figure out a price.

It looks sweet, but personally I like Hugger Orange. The flames will narrow the number of people interested just because so few people like flames. Good luck with the sale, it really sounds like a sweet car.

I agree with whats been said about the flames, but im guessing around 24k as it sits? How many miles are on the 427, hows interior? etc

Thanks for the replies. The 427 probably has around 5000 miles. When i bought the car it had less than a 100 miles on the resto. The interior is very nice.

It's going to be hard to tell what a car like this will go for. It's only worth what people are willing to spend on it of course. Check out http://www.hemmings.com/ and just look at other sites where older muscle cars like this are sold on a regular basis. Compare your car with those and set a asking price. The good thing about a classic muscle car is that somewhere out there is a guy that really wants a '69 Camaro with a 427 that is in good condition. Just be patient.

Car looks great! Get some more pictures up, motor shots, rear shots, also close the headlight covers, '69 RS's look better with them closed. I would say AT LEAST mid 20's would be a fair price.

Fastest way to sell it would be to put it on epay with a reserve. The paint scheme will hurt the value some and right now the market on 1st gens is soft.
