No, the porter cable is mainly for polishing out small swirl marks. The Zaino gets applied best by hand. Use good microfiber cloths. Should be good to go!

If you got ZPC or ZAIO a random orbit sander is beneficial. I really like the power of the Ridgid 2611 from Home Depot. Get some foam pads. Apply Z5P, Z2P, CS and Z8 by hand.

You do not need a buffer for zaino, all by hand. If you need a buffer to get the zaino off then something is wrong, it wipes right off. just make sure you have a clean surface to start with. for the initial application, wash in liquid dawn to remove all old was/polish, clay the car, wash again and then apply polish. after that all you need to do is use ther car wash and detail spray between applicaitons.

You will see best results with ANY product when using a buffer. There is no way you can be as consistant as a machine. Impossible.

Is it a necessity, no. A luxury, yes. Your results will greatly improve with the use of a buffer.

smooth bellows is a waste of money. save it on something better. I'm on the fence about the cold air kit. I don't see that it does much below 60 mph. get stuff that works. lid, if you don't already have. boxed lower control arms will help at launch. drag radials for grip. etc.

Not really. A polish cuts fine layers off the surface to reveal shiny new paint under. Zaino is a sealant, that protects that shine and reflects light really well.

I only use white 100% cotton towels and applicators with Zaino.
