Motor Mounts
I Have A Question On Motor Mounts. When Searching For New Motor Mounts For My 99 Camaro I Find That When Buying The Poly Mounts You Only Get The Inserts ??? Not The Whole Shell ?? What Does This Mean ? And Can You Buy The Whole Motor Mount Or Would I Be Better Off Buying Oem Motor Mounts?
Thanks In Advance.

This information is correct. I used a die grinder on the factory rivets (holding the clam shells together), then popped them apart with a screw driver.
Poly mounts really do make a difference. My motor barely moves and it cams pretty ridiculous. If you haven't done the headers, and plan on it, I'd wait 'till then to do the mounts. They are a bitch to remove with the exhaust still in place.

The biggest PITA was getting all the bolt holes line back up once the new mounts were back in the shell and on the motor. One thought, get a bolt threaded and then line up everything...
