Default possible to keep F1C under 10# w a 4.5" pulley?

I will be installing a F1C on my stock bottom end C5 and was wondering if I could possibly keep the boost under 10# with a 4.5" pulley and a restrictor plate? I also have a G5X3 112 cam that I'm currently running which I hope will bleed off a little boost. I will be getting a forged motor eventually but wanted to hold off untill a year from now and then shoot for over 800rwhp. Thanks in advance!

Maybe if you keep it under 5000 RPM... I don't know how big the crank pulleys are on the C5 kits, but with a 7.65/4.25 combo on my regular F1, I see 15psi with a 224/232 .581/.595 114+2 cam. Plus, the f-body intake hat is way more restrictive than the C5 intake is to the head unit. Only way I see you being able to stay at 10# with an F1C is to keep the RPM's down. Even at 10# tho, you will be walking a fine line. Better have an ultra conservative tune and some meth would help as well...

Bob mentioned to me before that there is a 5.00 blower pulley available. That might do it. Mine with a 4.10 and 8.25 crank pulley was making 14.

I'm was going to run the stage II ECS bracket but now I'm not so sure since the largest pulley I can run on the stage II bracket is a 4.5" pulley. I might just have to get their stage I bracket unless I can find a for sure way to keep boost under 10# with the stage II. Either way I'm sure I can't go wrong but I just had my mind set on the stage II bracket. Maybe Chris and Doug could set me up with a few restrictor plates to experiment with.

Elvir-with there new bracket the smallest pulley you can run is 4.25. I would just get there Stage 1-it works fine and I think they were selling them for like $600? I don't like the restrictor plates-if you restrict flow into the blower it can lead to belt slip.

Never been a fan of them my self, having seen what inlet restrictions do to belt traction and how much hp you gain without them.

If you need more midrange, crank that boost up

I guess the stage 1 bracket it is then. I'll be going with the 8-rib as well. Thank you all for your input.

Arun-have you chosen which head unit you will be running with your setup?

That's awesome! I look forward to reading up on your progress and hopefully some record breaking times.

You could always go to a large camshaft that has a lot of overlap to help bleed off some of the boost. Bob
