Angry someone BACKED into me!!!!!

I just came out of walmart and looked at my rear bumper and noticed a big black spot on the corner of the drivers side. I WAS PISSED!! someone backed into me and didn't leave a note or anything! What a kind of scum bag would do that!! When I got home I washed most of it off after scrubbing hard. You can tell they hit it hard enough to dent the corner in but it came back out. There are a lot of small cracks in the paint and a few small spots that are black (I guess that's where the paint flaked off and the bumper is black underneath??) What can I do to make this look better or to keep more paint from flaking off?

to stop more paint from flaking off, you can try putting some clearcoat over it...depending on how big the spot is. Take a pic of it and we'd be able to help you out better

Sorry to hear that man. I was hoping you wouldn't say the paint had cracked...unfortunate ly things like this happen. You always hope people will own up to their mistakes, but the majority of people out there don't give a crap about their car or anyone else's.

You're going to have to get the whole bumper repainted, so you may just get some money together and get it done quick.

Some of that may be able to be buffed out but some of the cracks seem to go straight thru the clearcoat and into the paint

That's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. If the cracks went through the clear coat to the paint your stuck. But my car was hit in the same place last week, and every bit of it buffed out. My bumper looks brand new. Hope you can get it buffed out!

I'm thinking the same thing. I know he could at least buff 90% of it out to where the rest wouldn't be noticeable unless you looked pretty closely. It might start to spider crack in a year or so, but he could offset getting it painted for at least that long...

Buff and out and see if you can live with it. If not you'll have to pay to get it fixed unless you somehow find out who did it and get them pay. It is unfortunate but **** happens.

most of that will buff out, probably wont cost a lot to get the bumper repainted.

Someone backed into me and put a crack right in my front bumper and scuffed it up. Went back like the next day and looked at the tapes. Happened at a mall. Didn't see anything. But it is definetly worth a shot!
