Default guy at tire rack said 285s wont fit

i ordered some tires for some black c6 rims i ordered they are 18 x 10.5 in the rear and the guy called me after i placed my order and he said they wont fit without fender modification i ordered them anyways because i know they will fit but i just want to make sure

285 for the rear? That's mighty narrow, you could put a 315 on there.

too narrow. 295 at the least in my opinion.

That is probably because a 285 is not a stock size tire for an f-body therefore his computer told him it wouldn't fit.

on a 10.5 rim 305 is min for me, thats cause im running 335 nittos, and people told me they wouldnt fit either!
