Price estimate on...

12k minimum. LS2 longblocks are almost 7k.. plus a full wiring harness, plus locating motor mounts, plus a trans + mounts, not sure if your radiator would be enough for it, lots of little things to consider.

it would cost you far more than its worth, unless you just happen to have a LS2 laying around. look at it this way i spent rougly $11-12k on a bigger cube LS2 in a car that previously had an LS1 after install. that's including supporting mods that are necessary like larger fuel injectors, dyno tune, harnesses, mounts, etc. and it this point the car is still nothing more than a burnout machine with a failing drivetrain. it will cost at LEAST $4-5K for a fully built drivetrain. and for the cost of all that you could have a used goat or very nice used f-body. or buy a f-body for $8k and put a procharger on it. but if you got the budget then by all means.

Hmm a little bit more expensive than I expected but not too terrible. I won't be breaking the bank for this project for another few years(gotta wait for that insurance drop)and by then hopefully the prices may drop but even if not it's still going to cost me less than if I bought a new car.
And yea, I am pretty much deadset on an LS2.
