I woulld like to know the thoughts of the last 2 seconds of the guy with the baseball bat when he was in the swinging motion before he got shot. "Gee, I think I made a big mistake!". or two "Gee, I messed with the wrong person!".

Yea, that's the kind of stuff that usually have people thinking "Oh, all those people with Camaros, Firebirds and Mustangs carry weapons, do drugs and drink a lot"
not a true personification though, however, that's the image that plagues many of us just because of things like this

The fact that he was attacked by someone with a bat gives him the right to shoot... IF he hadn't yet been attacked and the guy showed a bat, the driver COULD HAVE flashed the gun and said something like, "get the **** back or I'll shoot" and left without having to live the rest of his life knowing he killed someone. I don't know the details of the case but I'll be curious to see if he is charged with anything.
It's nice being able to carry a weapon in the great state of Texas! I stay strapped!
Off topic: his car looks exactly like mine

God bless Texas:
The new version of the law, which everyone expects the Governor to sign, repeals the old language entirely and says an individual cannot be charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon (UCW) in their personal vehicle unless:
* the handgun is in plain view (not found as a result of a consent search),
* the person is engaged in criminal activity other than traffic violations,
* the person is legally disallowed from owning a weapon (e.g., past criminal convictions), or
* the person's name is in the state of Texas' criminal street gang database.
Otherwise, if the weapon is concealed on your person or somewhere in the vehicle out of plain sight, and none of the other restrictions apply to you, as soon as HB 1815 takes effect on September 1, 2007 it will be legal to carry a handgun in your car.

Need to hear this answer cuz I was denied a SHOTGUN at WAL MART a couple years ago AFTER my house was broken into!!!!! They told me I could petition the decision by writing the FBI so I did and a couple weeks later I received a 6 page dissertation "explaining" why I shouldn't be allowed a gun........ It was all BS
