Adding footwell lights
Im going to grab a pair at theh salvage yard( Ill get more if anyone wants some)
How to hook them up to come on when the door is open? Schematic?

Sure...except the COURTESY fuse is hot all the time.
If you want them to work like the other courtesy lights then you'll have to tap into the circuit from the BCM. The dark blue with white wire in the black connector is 12V power and the white wire in the blue connector is ground. The BCM provides power that shuts off after ten minutes if you leave a door open (to save the battery). It also provides a ground that varies to produce the theater dimming effect.
If you want them to work like the other courtesy lights then you'll have to tap into the circuit from the BCM. The dark blue with white wire in the black connector is 12V power and the white wire in the blue connector is ground. The BCM provides power that shuts off after ten minutes if you leave a door open (to save the battery). It also provides a ground that varies to produce the theater dimming effect.

I have a friend at salvage yard that lets me have just about anything I need. The GM car section has tons of cars to choose from. I'll look at some of the cars that have nicer lights etc(194 pin style or better) Im also adding a rear mount light from a third gen Fbody-It was located by the trunk release. Ill poke around and grab a bunch. If you want one or two Ill send 'em to you(FREE)
