Default California Stealth Exhaust... What do u think?

This is my Exhaust on my 2000 Z28.... I live in california and cops are always on the look out for loud cars, i was tired of pulling up to stop lights with my cam lopping like crazy and a Highway Patrol motorcycle pull up next to me... I've been lucky so far but getting sent to the smog referee is not on my list of things i want to do... So I put a new V6 muffler with a single exit and a v6 turn down by the bumper and 3.5 electric QTP's before it. The main cut out before the axle is a striaght out dump not a bypass like most cut outs in the same spot... When open it sounds like a race car when closed it sounds like a V6 with a misfire...lol. Tell me what you think?

Oh yeah and check out my skid plate my boy fabbed up for my BMR K memeber, i was affraid cause the oil pan sticks down lower than the cross bar. What do ya think?

I'm tryin to figure out why you put the 2nd cutout right in front of the muffler when you already had one before the axle??

Good idea though, had a similar setup on my last car, but had the slp dual/dual catback and a 3.5" cutout on the ipipe before the axle where your first one is.

Two reasons, one i can choose how loud the car is on the street. Open up the back one and it is about half as loud as the one before the axle. Two it actually pulled 4 more horse on the dyno with both open believe it or not. I told kieth at Force Fed Performance here in sac to open them both which he didnt think would do anything but it did just slightly. It also sounds better with both open because any exhaust not going out at first exits before the v6 muffler... WHEN BOTH ARE CLOSED ITS SO QUIET IN TRAFFIC IT SOUNDS LIKE THE CAR IS TURNED OFF...

Here's a couple pics of the rest of the suspension....

Seem's like a pretty neat idea, never thought about using a V6 muffler/exhaust setup.

It's the best of both worlds with the flip of a switch, especially on long freeway trips that just give you a head ache normally, not anymore sounds like the car is turned off. lol

I believe it. A cutout in the middle of the I-pipe is very inefficient. The exhaust gas by design wants to go straight through the I-pipe and it has to take a turn to exit through the cutout. With one cutout in the I-pipe, a lot of exhaust still passes through the muffler.

Putting a cutout before the muffler right before the turn is a more efficient location for the cutout because the natural flow path is straight out the cutout instead of making the turn into the muffler, so naturally, you'll pick up more power with that open, too.

Its a RPM stage 5 Viper transmission, I bought the tranney new from my boy with a 03 viper but he ended up selling the car with his fucked up one instead. So I sent it off to RPM and the did every option they had to it. The whole deal cost me like $3300, but I'm confident in what i have now. I put in the spohn top gun drive shaft at the same time for that same reason, confidense....

What are the benefits of running the tubular front LCA, front UCAs? People tell me in the suspension forum below that they aren't needed in street cars.

UMI has poly/rod LCAs and Sphoon has "all" rod LCAs; which do you have?

P.S. Hillary, if elected, would ban your car!
