I dont have traction control but....
when i turn the key to start and all the lights come on for a sec. i see the traction light come on. I just got the car so could this mean that the car had traction control and was taken out? or does it mean the gauge cluster was swapped out before?

I thought my cluster was swapped with a car that had traction control and less miles.I have 2001 and it has only 43K from the dealer. I hope it's really 43K and not a another cluster.

i'm assuming the layout on the firebird and camaro would be the same for this. if your car has traction control there should be a button in front of the center console. if you hit the button you'll see an orange light in the dashboard that says TCS off. if you don't have the button then you don't have TCS.

If it has the digital odometer the milage will be stored in the cluster. When replacing at a dealer they order from a company that rebuilds them and they send the milage with so they can enter the correct milage in the cluster.

As far as the TCS light my car has it in the cluster next to the ABS light ,but it does not light up do to no bulb which I never removed. My car is a 94 bird and I don't recall that the TCS was an option back then, but it is still in the cluster. Just with out a bulb.
