Default What do you expect me to run?

What can I expect in terms of power and times with my combo?

GM goodwrench 350 short bock
Ported 610 (305 H.O.) heads
10.8:1
Crane 272 H10 272* .454"
Weiand stealth intake manifold
Edelbrock 1407
Pacesetter LT's
True duals
3.23's

What would you expect it to run on DR's?

You would have been better off staying with the LT1 in my opinion. Those 305 heads are not a good idea at all, ported or not. They can't support enough air flow for a 350+ cubic inch motor. I bet your peak HP is at about 3,500-3,800 rpm, the motor may rev higher than that, but will choke down after that point. If you are looking for more compression it would be better to use a set of late model (1996-2001) vortec heads and mill them down. You can pick up a set of good used vortecs for pretty cheap.

x2,it will probably make about 325 at the flywheel right now,350 vortec will give you about another 35-40 hp

It was never an LT1 car, it was a 3.4 when I got it. I'm saving money right now for a set of patriot heads hopefully before next spring but I cracked the OE heads on my crate motor last fall and I had these laying around and tossed them on so I could drive the car. It pulls well all the way up till about 4200 before I can really feet it choking. Oh well, thanks for the input.

Just out of cursioty how do you guys think it would fair against a stock LT1 and LS1 and more importantly a 4.6?

depending on how heavy your car is, it should go mid 13's.

I had a 3rd gen with #416 305HO heads on a 350, th350, and 4.10 gears which ran 13.05 at 105mph with a lot less compression, and smaller cam. I was also using a plain jane edelbrock performer intake. Car weighed 3050lb with me in it.

4th gens are alot heavier though, I think the car will need atleast a 4.56 to make low 13s considering he will have a pretty poor powerband with those heads. Slap any decent head on there and you will hit some 12s, my car ran 12.80s@110 with a stock zz4 in it and those only make 350HP~

My old heads were 76CC 350 heads and it was high 14's with the stock cam. I wonder how much better it would run if I would have re-used the OE heads and just did this cam, it feels a good bit faster like this. Oh well...

What manifold would you guys go with, my Weiand or an edelbrock to match my carb?
