Question Best cam for LS1 Heads?

car: 2001 z28! I'm looking for a good daily drivin cam with alot of mid to top end power! i plan on putting forged pistons and redoing the bottem end but leaving it 346! i want a nasty sounding idle and a petty big HP increase but yet good for daily drivin! rember i plan on only porting the heads.. if you got port spec's and cam spec's and HP that would be great!! any info is good info THANKS...

a4 or m6? supporting mods? looks to me like you want a little too much there buddy....

low 11's cam only AND stock driveability? im just gonna say there is a TON of info on top end and valvetrain building on this site and its there for you in the form of the SEARCH button...

popular cam that kind of meets in the middle on all of your goals is the MS3...

When I had my ms3 it wan in my a4. It was a cam only w/ all the bolt ons, 3000 stall converter, 373's, and drag radials. It went 11.80's at sea level. Now I have a built motor w/ a bigger cam in a lighter car. I can barely go low 11's on the motor now. On the unit it's a whole different ball game. But to answer your question I think the ms3 is perfect for what yopur looking for.

How about the T-Rex. It was specifically designed for maximum power out of stock un ported LS1 heads.

Say he wanted to keep the same or very close rpm limit with an A4 but didn't care about running 11's, what would the suggestion be then?

You might research both the MS4 & torquer 3 camshafts for your application. We've seen 10 second cam only MS4 cars so your et goals should be very possible. Try searching in certain sections under the advanced search option. I think you'll find great results from both the MS4 & t3 camshaft. If your looking for a heads cam package checkout our package deals:

I Like the way both of those sound! i reached them a little but i like asking someone who has had alot of experinse when them! Witch one of these two has more low end power and carys throughout the whole RPM?? and i found a shop to install cam and springs for 550 and tune for 400 is this a good price or not?
