so the big o around here can get me 275/40/17 nittos or the KDs and idk which to get, i have KDWs right now and think they are nie, but with the new 4.11 first gear is worthless.... and i really hate roll racing

so anyone have experiance with both of these tires??

With your mods and power i would get some drag radials. So out of those 2 choices i would get the nitto 555r's

I have the Nittos and in my experience they hooked worse than the stock tires I replaced them for. Of course it could be the extra power that makes it hard to hook, but the Nittos spin like crazy. Good luck.

the 555Rs did wonders for a stock car, anything above a mild bolt on car and the MT ET street radials become required for traction...

I can't count how many times I've seen guys make excellent power and get there *** whopped due to spinning all the time...

And the BFG KD's have been discontinued . . . as far as I can tell.

BFG's site only shows 2 sizes still being made . . . . .

the BFG's are not to be underated...the KD'S are much sticker then your kdw's...nitto's can be good street tires for racing, but ive heard somethings about them at the track...several of my friends have stated they didnt like them that much...but its all a personal preference..

most of the sizes have been discontinued, but they still have stock in some and i could get one of the last sets of them

im really torn, cuz my car only has headers and gears, but makes 360/355 or so to the tires but i dont want a tire that is goign to wear down in like 8K miles.. i guess they both probably would though...

Depends if this is your daily driver and how much you drive the car. If you do a lot of driving I would stick with a street tire.

If you really wanted to, you could get two more wheels and mount MT drag radials for when you go to the track.
