Default What is safe boost for this setup?

I bought this car from a guy in Ca. It was tuned in Nevada and made 749hp at 16psi boost running c16. I brought to Louisiana and on the first dyno pull it made 640hp but was making 20psi of boost and I am worried it my be to much boost. I am running 65lbs injectors and have some 83lbs orderd, I was running out of fuel on the top end. What do you guys think. I have the fast computer and I have a F1R procharger and intercooler on the car, here is the motor setup:

408 LS6 Iron Block

*Prep GM 6.0L Iron Block
*4.030" bore x 4.00" stroke
*ARP main studs
*Callies forged crankshaft
*Oliver billet connecting rods
*JE custom forged pistons @ 8:6:1
*JE Hellfire Rings
*Clevite H series racing bearings
*Double roller timing chain set
*Custom modified oil pump
*Fully balanced
*ARP head bolts/studs.
*Stage 2 Porting
*SI Silverline 2.08 intake valve's
*SI Silverline 1.60 exhaust valve's
*ATI Super Damper
*TCI flexplate
*Custom Ground Camshaft by Comp Cams 236/242 115 lsa
*Weiand Ported Intake
*QTP 1 7/8" Jetcoated full length headers
*Pair of quicktime 3" electric cutouts

I'd probably pulley it down a bit and add alky injection for insurance. Other than that, looks great. Oh and Hellfires are by Federal Mogul in their Speed-Pro line.

Just curious do you know who or where in NV it was tuned or built? Is your car a sunset orange metallic ws6 by any chance?

What dynos for each pull? Timing? What do you have for a intercooler setup?

You WILL need the 83s for over 16psi, im surprised they held in there for the first dyno.

What stall / trans combo?

I think they were both Dynojet dynos, As far as timing I am not sure. For the Trans. A TH400 conversion was done to replace the 4L60E transmisson.
Which is Coan Transmission with a transbrake, and a Neil Chance 3600 RPM open convertor, and a custom installed Cheetah reverse pattern 3 speed shifter. The intercooler was a custom front mount. Here is the link to the website the guy had when building the car. www.cardomain.com/ride/588838/9

Im assuming the 4l60 was used in the first dyno, and the th400 the second?

If your on c16 all the time, the most boost possible would be fine. A f1r will max out and produce hot air and belt slip. Just watch the IAT and check plugs along with KR.

need to look at the tune and figure out what is wrong with the thing.

it is possibly overfueled all to hell to keep it from popping at that boost, so much that its killed power all together. the only explanation i have for being out of injector.

how many pumps running?

until you make the power, you don't need the injector. mototrons can make over 800rw w/out fuss.

I dont have a copy of the tune at Thunder Racing where he said I needed bigger injectors. I am running a aeromotive eliminator pump. When I run and take the plugs out they are just kind of gray looking and if it idles or is cranked and moved a bit it will foul the plugs. When you run it, it will bang out. The plugs still just look gray, does not look like it is to rich.

The trasmission was the same in both pulls the T400.
