Wanna get rid of the sealed beams. Do not want HIDs and they still gotta flip.
I'm tired of my sealed beams and was wanting to convert them to a housing that I can put a set of silver stars or other bulbs in. I'm not wanting to put HIDs in it I just want to get rid of the sealed beams and I have tried searching and found abunch of conversions to non flip up kits and one website for a housing conversion but I'm not sure of its creditability.
My question is has anyone tired it and what was there success with it?
Where did you get your kit?

I did a light switch on my muscle car and even though it was not a flip up liek yours the new sealed lamp worked and looks alot better then my stock 8" round bulb so to speak.
What is the site that you are talking about that carrys the new headlamp? care to supply a link.
As far as the Silverstars they are some awesome lights and i have yet to try the Ultra's i would say go for them

I used Eurolights housings and siliconed Silverstar bulbs into them. I have a brief install write up on my website: www.scottsrides.com

How have they held up and do you think the conversion was worth the time and money?

Same question too. Also if thats a stock bulb you used as a housing can it possibly leak over time?? Mainly the front seal? All my stock lamps have condensated over time due to the front seal breaking..
