OEM, check the "LSx Parts For Sale" listings, there was a couple in there this morning.
Also watch Ebay.

SLP, Westcoast Creations or OEM are the most common.

Suncoast, not Westcoast. They also have the 'Raptor' hood which is a really good looking unit.

Welcome to the site. Please reduce the size of your sig pic when you get a chance. Maximum size is 500 px wide X 150 px tall (your sig pic is 600 X 272).

Default WS6 Hood

I have a red factory WS6 hood that i purchased for 1200.00 and had prepped and painted for 350.00
I only had it von the car a short while ( drag only car) and then switched to the tall VFN hood for clearance with on the Kinsler intake and nitrous system.
This hood is perfect as far as i know. It's been in storage for the last 3 years.
I would sell it for 500.00, but you would have to pay any shipping costs......
I am in pa/nj area.

That's a HELL of a deal, and quite gracious of you BRracing. Freight is usually really cheap, but things CAN get banged around. So inside a box full of bubble wrap would be key. (When my Rims+Tires came, the crate they were on was a bit busted up, and the metal tie strap on one was broken, no damage though.)

Otherwise, I'd go for that Raptor hood, which is a Firehawk replica basically. More aggressive stock style.

keep checking ebay... i snagged an oem LT1 WS6 hood for $307.51 about a month ago... it was a factory "reject" due to a small hole in the hood most likely due to an error in the mold (the guy said he had 25 of them about 10 yrs ago that he got from a buddy who worked at the factory that was contracted by GM to produce the hoods and has been selling them off over the years and most had the same exact hole. its the dot seen on the drivers side of the hood in the pic, right between where the hood rises up in the middle, and the flat edge part) other than the hole, it only needs a slight bit of work on the corners by the windshield..

now i kniow this is an LT1 and not an LS1 but im just sharing this to let you know you can find deals if you are persistant...

well i got my hood... it's a US Exotics WS9..... no paint yet, this was the test fit, and curing procedure:

please excuse the rag used to protect my bumper cover!

The "WS9" hood is a stock WS6 hood, with Firehawk heat extractors. they're functional.

looks like your car has a runny nose and you stick a kleenex into it to stop the dripping

(i wasnt going to comment on the rags but since you specifically mentioned it....well )

looks good though i can't wait to get mine painted/installed (i'm letting the body shop do the fitment and what not... it shouldnt need much since it is oem)

i did the prefit.... my friend's shop is painting it, and then i'll do the final fitment. i am very very very picky, and i will spend the time to make it perfect.
