Please check my 9" ring / pinion gear pattern...Ready to run?
Okay, I think I have nailed the pattern on my 9" Motive performance ring and pinion setup. I killed the older thread so there would be no more confusion, plus I had the many photos mixed up. Thanks again to all who have helped.
The following setup use a .019" total shim pack and has .008" backlash.
Please check these patterns out, am I ready to go?

Without going into confusing details, the .026" you referenced was setup using feeler gages because I had no real shims at the time to mock it up. Feeler gages do not work for this kind of job cause the pinion support will not mount solid. I can assure you that if I really set it up with a .026" shim pack the pattern goes completely to hell.
From comparing pics, the current .020" pics look nearly identical to what you referenced. The sweet spot for these gears is clearly around .020".
So how do these patterns look now?

Gears are Motive Performance for the 9".
Here are the patterns for .020", .021", .022 shim packs
.020"
.021"
.022"
Looks like adding shim is moving the drive pattern to the heel as well as moving the two patterns apart. Once again guys all the pics in my old deleted thread are bogus, they are totally worthless.
I checked the backlash at .008" and .0012", the change was nearly non-existant. Are the two patterns supposed to be more centrally placed rather than spread apart?
Now what?

Update:
Went with the .020" shim pack and a .009" backlash and it is very quiet. What noise I am getting is being amplified by the tunnel mount torque arm. The final pattern certainly was not 100% ideal, but it was certainly the best I could get.
Thanks to all that helped.

I can still pull the pinion support off and add some shim which seemed to not affect backlash at all during setup if I decide too.

I always thought having the drive pattern too far heel was not desirable especially under heavy load, but I am certainly no expert. I only base this on the various pattern examples that can be found on the internet.

Good talking to you today. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Thanks, Jeff
