Default anyway to get good gasmilage with 454

I have a 454 with 10.1 compression and 781 oval heads.Is there any certain combo(cam, intake, carb,) that will give me reasonable milage?(15 mpg+)Car is a 69 camaro,th350 auto,3.08 gear.

a 700r4 would definately help. overdrive helps a lot but other then that.... dude its a big block =D

Sell th350 purchase/install t56 and 3.42 or 3.73 gears, hell just leave the 3.08's a 454 should have plenty of torque to lug in the higher gears

unless your dead set on an auto then your options are limited and good gas mileage isn't in your future

I'm about to do a very similar comob... I'm just going to suck it up and go to the gas pump every time I take it out

if it's carbureted, the key is getting the idle and transition circuits leaned out via idle fuel and air bleeds (IFB and IAB) as described in first link.
