Fake "SS" in Frisco
OK, I gotta rant about this. Sitting at a light in a co-worker's car coming back from lunch. Up next to us pulls a red '93-'97 f-body. Cowl hood with "RAM AIR" in big white letters. SS badges. Base spoiler so I'm thinking fake SS. Then I see that the SS "badges" are actually stickers. Mr Gasket stickers above the SS stickers too. Then we leave the light and it's obviously a V6. If anybody knows the owner, please smack 'em for me.

haha did it really bother you that much? I own an SS also and it wouldn't kill me to see that, b/c ya never know if that cars got ***** behind it or not. I had a friend that had a H/C stalled V6 camaro that had a V-Tech badge on the back of it.

LOL, and I do believe its a v6. didnt pay attention to rear spoiler... but I have seen a few like this around town, and they are v6....
past one the other night on highway.. thought i was going to have a run, but when he stepped on gas you could hear it was a v6 with exhaust..

Yeah, it did bother me that much, lol. Well maybe not. I just wish people wouldn't do that crap. Oh, it had white strips on the hood too. Like Quickblade said, it sounded like a stock v6 with exhaust.

if you see my dads 97 30th running around let it me known it IS real. Also, does it have ZR1's? cause i saw a red "SS" on preston a few months back when i had my 96. It looked real but all i saw was some ZR1's and a SS hood.

I saw a stock V6 powered fake SS on this side of town about a year ago. Had the hood, spoiler and badges, but single exhaust with that destinct V6 tone. I was in my SS and trying to get next to him just for kicks and giggles. He turned off though.

Actually, I know of 2 v6 fake 35th le cars in the area that are done up nicely. One is red the other is black. They both have plates that reflect what they are though. Something like "NOT N SS" and "NO AN LE" but I forget exactly.

we have the same thing here except it spills into mustangs also.
you think you have a good run against an V8 but once they get on it that dreaded V6 sound comes about.
