I really really wanna do a manual trans but would like to here everyones opinion.. I am building an lsx and am caught between a 6 speed or an auto... how much am i looking at spending with a manual and an auto to hold that kind of torque and power? I would like it to be a nice day weekend driver and take a few trips down to the track... HELP ME?!?

A stock T56 should be able to handle it but its better to buy an upgraded one . I'd look around for a core with bellhousing and shifter and get it built . It could be a little cheaper that route .

ok I like what I am hearing! thanks tons... I just got my stock t56 rebuilt with stronger forks and keys and i broke it again :-( and it is just a 99 ss with bolt-ons... however I am fairly sure it is just out of my plain stupitity considering I didn't spend the $150 and get a pro 5.0 shifter... I am ready to build a 454 lsx and should easily get 600 whp and torque and are you all sure a t56 will be fine for those kind of NA numbers if so I am basically ready to purchase a tranny i have a core to trade... Let me know if where you recommend and which kit... thank you all!
