Default will I get approved through Capital One?

I read this thread and thought about posting in it, but hardly anyone probably reads it. https://ls1tech.com/forums/removed-locked-thread-graveyard/483014-need-financing-look-here.html

Anyways, I currently have an auto loan through Capital One and I owe a little over $11k on it. I have the automatic payment options so never a late payment to them (4 months). I applied about a month ago for another auto loan for about $10k and was denied. I only make $1733/month.

But, this time, if I use the "joint applicant" and have my dad on there (who makes tons of money, is homeowner, has been employed with the same company forever, and has good credit) do you think I'll get approved for about $8500??

I can temporarily. I just need something now so I'll have something to drive when the SUV sells.
