Aftermarket taillights or stock VHT taillights
I bought some VHT and painted my stock taillights and the 3rd brake light on the SS wing. Just curious to know what you all like better: aftermarket or stock VHT ones. I had planned on taking the aftermarket ones apart and use the VHT on the lenses then putting the clear cover back on, basically so its all blacked out inside; but I'm liking the stock better the more I look at it. Thanks for any feedback!
Sorry this pic sux, its the only one I have of the rear.

i like the euro's better cuzin. it helps break up the back a lil bit and gives the car more character. you need to take them apart and paint them like you said. i would just do a light VHT coat on the lenses so they look smoked and leave the orange and red alone.

I would use 1000 or 1200 grit sandpaper, if not some alcohol to rub off any wax or cleaner that may be on the lights from detailing. Mine started to spot so I let it dry then used 1200 sandpaper and alcohol on a cloth to clean it well so that the VHT would have a good surface to stick. Start off misting it about 10 inches away, then let dry for a bit, and finally go in with the more consistant sprays. Do a little each time for even coating, not a heavy spray the first time and there after. When your done you may need to use polishing wax to give an even smooth shine to them, thats the way I did it and it turned out great.

Sorry cuz, but I really dislike my aftermarket ones now. I have got a lot of compliments from others around town about how clean and menacing it looks now along with the black turnsignals, black bumper lights, and black whistler headlights. My euro's will now serve as dust-bunny collectors in the garage.

My opinion? Take the aftermarkets and VHT them as if they were the stock ones. Maybe not as dark so the difference is still visible. I think thats what I am going todo. Ebay has the LED tails. And I'll VHT those. But in the end it's your car and this is just my opinion.
