I need some opinions on this setup!
My car is a 2000 ws6 m6 w/60000 miles on the clock. Current mods include: FLP long tubes, ory, borla catback, slp lid, sportline lowering springs, adj. panhard rod, spoon strut tower brace, tune, pro 5.0 shifter, nitto dr's.
This is not my daily driver so i want a setup that lopes hard and puts down some strong numbers!
Now this is what i am thinking for my setup:
ENGINE:
Texas Speed heads and cam package:
1. Afr 205's and one of their cams.(please advise on what cam you think)
2. FAST 90 W/nick williams 90mm tb
SUSPENSION:
1. SHOCKS: Koni 4/4
2. Springs: undecided (feel free to help)
CHASSIS:
1. BMR sub frame connecters
2. BMR LCA's
3. Spoon adj. torque arm w/safty loop
REAR END:
9'' or 12 bolt (if i have money left)
My goal is to put down between 450 and 500rwhp, so if I left anything out please feel free to make suggestions, or if you think i can save money going another route, please let me know. p.s. on a $7,000 budget.
Thanks
Nick

Don't worry about big numbers and focus on useable power under the curve. I recomment a 224/228ish cam. That'll give you better results for those 205 heads. If you want higher end power go with the 225s and a FAST 90 setup.
btw. a customer of mine just spent 6k on a very similar H/C/I/E setup for an 02SS.

yeah i wouldnt really worry about the fast 90/90 combo to much. i would get a ls6 and stay with that.
on your cam if you want some big numbers with big lope you can do some afrs and a ms4 cam. that will put down some nasty numbers

Thanks for the resplies! Would I have to worry about PTV clearence with the any of these cams? also, power under the curve is more important than top end because this car will mostly be a street cruiser. P.S. i would like to spray the car in the future! (probably 100-150 shot)

I guess high hp numbers don't matter. What i really want is a torque monster with a bad *** lope. If i can cet 450rwhp and 430rwtq I would be exteremly pleased. I just want to be able to shred tires and sound wicked when at idle!

A properly ported FAST 90 makes more TQ and more power

Give me a call at AFR....but before you do figure out how much you can afford to spend.
I will help you take the most advantage of the funds your willing to allocate.
