Default Missed it

After test driving and bickering over the price of a 00 WS6 on thursday, I came in friday afternoon prepared to write a check for the car and finally be back in the american muscle car scene per se. When I get in the dealer, I found out that they had sold the car not 20 min ago, the guy loaded it on a trailer and left. So guess I missed out again. Not having a car is killing me, I need to get out and do some cruisin dammit.

There is a white '00 T/A with t-tops, auto, dark grey interior leather, 29k miles for $13,900 i'd guess you could grind 'em down quite a bit since it's winter time here. I don't think it was driven in the winter though. They guy just didnt want a garage queen~Cole~

I recommend buying from another member too. I bought my '01 SS that way almost two years ago. It has been a great car and the purchase experience was very straight forward.

That happened to me too on a SS, I went to the dealer on a Friday, test drove, tried to negotiate a price, said I'd talk to my bank to make arrangements, call on the Sat to find out they sold it...

The next time I found a jewel car in the rough, I plopped my CC down for deposit without hesitation.

Ya snooze, ya loose. Shoulda stayed there and beat them down to the price you wanted. Thats what I did. Took 4 hrs but I got $3500 knocked off the price. I think they did it just to get rid of me!!

That's how I got mine. Drove by the dealership, saw car, stopped in, looked at it, test drove, then proceeded to whine about the price, condition, etc. Nothing wrong with it, just dusty from the previous day's rain. Two hours of bartering, $3,000 off the price, the car was mine. I even talked them into washing the car and filling the gas tank.

Point is, once I knew I wanted the car, I didn't leave til it was mine. I've missed out on good deals in the past by thinking too long, that wasn't gonna happen this time!

You'll find one. There will be good deals 'til spring. I found the car I wanted in OH and put down a deposit on it right away. The salesman said there was another guy from MI who was planning to drive down and buy it. Then he told me the guy's name and asked if it rang any bells. Yeah, like I know everyone in the state. And in case you're wondering, yes, I'm also one of those people who bids on an eBay auction 3 seconds before it ends.

when the dealer told me to leave a deposit to hold the car i told him if someone comes along that has cash before me sell it, might be a sign it wasn't meant to be. if its still here then maybe it is meant to be. well it was still there. then i joined LS1tech. go figure.
